Here are a couple new movies of Kyle at Daycare on May 1st. The first one is of Kyle playing in one of the push cars, and the second one is of him playing on the slide. Enjoy.

Well, I am happy to tell he has figured it out, and absolutely loves it! I walked into his Day Care room today and all of the kids were on the so called Structure, which has steps and a slide. They were all taking turns sliding down the slide…unassited. I saw him go down at least twice before I got video of it, and he wouldn’t stop going down it even after I stopped filming. Hope you enjoy the video as much as he enjoyed performing.
Sure, it’s a few weeks ago, but that is what happens sometimes with video. Heck, I haven’t even gotten up Easter video from 2007, so technically I am way ahead. This Easter was actually great as Kyle seemed to “get it,” or at least understand the premise that he grabs the eggs and put them in his basket. The best part is that his basket is actually a little basketball hoop! Thanks to Barbie and Kathie for find that. Anyways, the video is like 15 minutes, so don’t feel obligated to watch the whole thing, but I figured for those who want to watch it all, then at least you have the opportunity to spend Easter with the Gravers.
p.s. The one file is better quality, but very large. The other is not as great quality, but a lot smaller. You get to choose!

They say he loves the tricycle, but doesn’t like to wear the helmet, which is required. It’s cool to see him on a tricycle.
The second video is of Kyle playing in our driveway in the neighbors toy plastic car. He only knows how to go backwards right now, but I’m sure that will change shortly.

Kyle in the Toy Car (3-19-2008) [2:55m]: Play Now | Play in Popup | DownloadThe best part about this video is how Kyle really wants to go down the slide, so he puts his on foot on, but then won’t “pull the trigger,” but instead keeps reaching out his hand for help. The slide is quite steep for the little guy so I understand his concerns, but after going down, all he wants to do is get up and go down the slide again. Enjoy!

The first video is from Feb. 1st and is just a short clip of Kyle playing in Modesto. The second clip is of Kyle at Day Care on Feb. 5th. I was actually trying to get him to follow me out to the car, but as you’ll see he had something else in mind. The amazing thing is that he has no fear going anywhere and walking over anything. At one point, instead of following the path, he decides to vier off into the woods.

The little girl in the beginning, Joie, is very nice and says “here you go Kyle” as she hands Kyle back one of the toys that he tossed over the side of the structure. The Day Care actually has a policy that says no toys on the structure so that kids learn to use the hand rails when walking down the stairs. They say when kids have toys in their hands they try to go without the handrail and end up falling down the stairs. Kyle actually ends up taking the slide down, and his facial expression is priceless. Enjoy!
Sorry for the late posting of this one, but it has been an extremely tough week for us. Friday night we cleaned out the Kitchen for our remodel, which has been going on since Monday. Then Saturday morning, we heading to Modesto for Jeanne’s and Kathie’s B-Day celebration, followed by a Super Bowl party on Sunday evening. What a game by the way! Sunday night we came back, finished up the cleaning of the kitchen, and now begin the long renovation of having no kitchen for 6 weeks. Anyways, since cleaning out the kitchen on Friday night, I have had a serious headache and have been struggling. I’ve been in bed by 9pm for 5 of the last 7 nights, only the last two nights have I stayed up later. I think I have taken more Ibuprofen and Tylenol this week than I can ever remember. It’s like the headaches I used to get weekly when I was a kid, but this one has lasted a week. I’ve actually been to acupuncture the last two days, and things have gotten 80% better, but not all the way there. Not sure what is going on, but it is killing me.
Anyways, that is not the reason for this post, it is for showing you that Kyle can walk. Disregard the crazy conversation by Barbie in the background. She told me to edit it, but that just takes more time than it is worth. Kyle does have some things to say though…
This was filmed on 1/12/2008 and is just me trying to get some video of Kyle walking. Unfortunately, he is not really 100% comfortable walking at this point, so he goes for a little bit then crawls the rest of the way. The fun part though is him once he notices the camera, because then it is go time. Just watch and you’ll get an up close visual of Kyle…Enjoy!
