As most of you know we are expecting a baby girl, so that means pink clothes, pink bibs and of course a pink room. Well…we thought we were going to have a pink room until we saw how pink Pink can really be. I painted 3 of the 4 walls pink and it was just too much pepto bismol for us, so we went with a more neutral green.

So, you would think that would be the end of pink paint for me, but during the painting sessions I would wear my work boots and let’s just say they are now brown with some pink highlights. I don’t really care as I don’t go out in these shoes and only use them for walking the dogs in the rain, or working around the house.

Well, today is a bit on the wet side here in San Jose, CA, so this morning I put the boots on and took the dogs for their morning walk. Unfortunately, as I was in somewhat of a hurry, I forgot to take off my boots and put on my work shoes. By the time I got to work, I realized the mistake, but it was basically too late to do anything. Therefore, I am sporting some nice Timberland work boots with Pink highlights to go along with my slacks. I look goooooood.

If you ever doubted the fact that Obama is thus far more of a celebrity than a respected politician, check out the latest numbers of a poll that ranked who people thought was the biggest hero. People are ridiculous.

Yesterday I was a little disturbed in hearing that Obama was going to put a salary cap on executives. Basically, the fact that the government could possibly restrict how much a company was willing to pay someone seemed to overstep their bounds. However, today I found out that this executive order is only for companies that take federal bailout money. So, I concede that that is a fair thing for government to do. I can’t say I agree with bailing out companies who have mis-managed themselves, but that is another story.
