As if my shoulder wasn’t enough to deal with, the past few weeks I have been experiencing some serious wrist pain, mainly on the outside edge on the pinky finger side. I am pretty sure it has to do with typing and working at a computer, but you never know. A friend of ours just had surgery for something similar, and a girl at work told me it might be related to the ulnar nerve, which connects all the way through the elbow. I am inclined to think it is a combination of basically everything…typing, breaking the left wrist twice, and shattering the elbow.
I had an ergonomic evaluation done not so long ago, so they adjusted my seat height, and I got an ergonomic keyboard, something I was already planning on trying, so we’ll see how that goes. I also went to the acupuncturist today, and she absolutely killed me. She massaged my wrist and forearm, both of which killed, and when she stuck the first needle in my wrist, it felt like a lightning bolt went from my elbow to the tip of pinky finger. It was amazing and absolutely painful at the same time. She quickly pulled it out and re-did it, but WOW, what a jolt. Anyways, we’ll see how it goes. I guess this is what getting old is all about…that and kids.
