Well, the last time I wrote was way back almost a month ago, and FSU was undefeated. Of course, they hadn’t played a game yet, but at least they didn’t have a loss either. So, a few weeks ago I went back to Miami to watch the season opener b/t FSU and Miami. Thanks to my cousin, I had not only a seat, but a great seat! As you know, FSU went on to win the game, and everything was looking good….that is, until 2 weeks later when they proceeded to lose to Clemson, and now have an uphill battle to make a BCS game.

So, that is the recap of FSU, well how about some other things. The weekend after Miami we had our annual Decashathon weekend. Not quite sure what that is? Well, it is put on by one of our friends, and consists of 16 guys getting away for the weekend, and competing in different events as teams of 4. Each person puts in a little money, so the winning team comes away with a little profit, excluding overall weekend costs. This year, we had it down in Morro Bay, CA and my team ended up winning! I say my team, b/c I had the privilege of being a captain, which meant I got to draft the players. Captains are determined by the 4 top individual performers from the previous year, and although I was number 5 last year, one of the top 4 couldn’t make it, so I got to take his spot. This year, I ended being the top individual performer, so I get to be a captain again next year, and hope to make it two winning weekends in a row. On a side note, I had my top bowling performance ever. I bowled a 205, which was a whopping 5 pins higher than my previous record of an even 200. The best thing about it is that I didn’t have a single open frame the entire game, and then followed up that game with a 189! Talk about in the zone.

I’m quite sure there has been a ton of other things that have happened, but for now I just wanted to get you all something. So, stay tuned or keep checking in.
