Snow in the hills

I heard on the radio yesterday that the temperature in Buffalo dropped 60 degrees in one day! That is like going from sitting on the beach in 90 degree heat and then the next morning waking up to snow! We’ve had our own temperature changes here in the past two weeks where it was 70 degrees 2 weeks ago, and now is only getting up to about 50 degrees. Moral of the story…don’t mess with Mother Nature, she can turn on you in a dime!

FSU loses heartbreaker

Every year, FSU seems to play very well against Duke in basketball. I think they have won at least one of their two games like 4 of the last 5 years or something, but don’t quote me on that. Well, this past weekend they almost did it again, but this time we can blame the refs. FSU lost 97-96 in Overtime. However, it probably wouldn’t have gone to overtime if FSU didn’t lose one of its players due to a horrible technical foul called on our player. The call was so misplaced that the referees of the game have been suspended by the ACC. Either way congrats to the FSU team for a good game.

Dancing with the Don

As some of you may know, Barbie’s Christmas present this year was that I would take some dance lessons with her. This all came about b/c a few months ago we went to a country bar, and while trying to learn how to do a couples dance with Barbie, she left me on the dance floor b/c she was so frustrated with my dancing ineptitude. Needless to say, since it was a couples dance I had to walk off the dance floor all alone. As bad as this may sound, it didn’t happen just once, but twice in the same night…yes, I am that bad apparantely.

Anyways, so last night was our first Dance lesson. We are going to be learning the Salsa and Two-step (non-country version). These are ballroom dances, but I’m sure I can throw in a little extra “Don” factor to the Salsa so I can use in the clubs in Miami. As you can see, all of this is just a ploy to get me back to Miami. :)

Well, I wasn’t the worst one out there, but I wasn’t the best either, so I’ve got some work to do. I’ll keep you updated as to our, or should I say my, progress. We’ve got 4 weeks to learn these dances, so not much time. Watch out “Dancing with the Stars,” here I come!
